You know how when you spend lots of time of a project, you feel especially attached to it? Well, i feel that way every week and on all my projects, even though they're not an actual garment yet or anything close - everytime i look at it (despite imperfections), i see the long hours of work, the redoing and rethinking of ideas, and i get so happy.
Here's my first colour board - it's a colour concept for an imaginary line that I thought up - D'anjou (shortened form for "Beurre D'anjou" Pears, aka Anjou Pears - kudos for bob the hubster for thinking up this clever name - it scored me creativity points!). It's a maternity bridal/special occasion line for Summer 2007. Pears because pregnant women are shaped like pears. anyway, it's nothing special, but it really took a long time to make. Enjoy.
I also went to a Art Institute / Zebraclub Fashion Competition hosted by IconInk in Seattle. It was really neat to see all the designers compete, and the girl that won was the one that i really liked! Hooray for her. It was good to see what was to be expected so I can maybe enter next year! heehee.
I get so excited for class. i love it.
